Ooc:
Nickname:Hare
Bic:
Name- Pondfoot
Age- Atleast sixty moons
Gender- She-cat
Clan- LeafClan
Rank- Warrior soon to be elder
She is who she is
This is the darkest night.
Stars have all faded away.
Quiet upon this world.
Stars have all faded away.
Quiet upon this world.
Pondfoot’s nature is very kind, gentle, caring, and over all extremely benevolent towards everyone in the clan no matter how annoying or rude they might be. This, I know, sounds too perfect but she is no where near the most perfect, most beautiful, most flawless cat around. She is simply who she is. She enjoys the company of others and would rather listen to others then talk herself. She has taken it upon her to think more about the clan’s well being and does her part in the clan seriously. She is a quiet one and only speaks a few yet helpful words when they are needed. Her loyalty to the leader is strong and true; never has it cross her mind to betray him/her. Slowly, Pondfoot is coming of age where her body isn’t keeping up like it should so she seems more tired and a tiny bit lazy half the time. Though she isn’t going to let a little aging hold her back. Pondfoot can become depressive if someone happened to mention the name of her deceased brother. It was a difficult time for he after his death but she has forgotten that day to move one with her life.
Appearance
Though the clouds there is a light.
We will find our way.
We will find our way.
As most Leafclan cats are, Pondfoot has a small sleek figure, shoulders are broad enough for her frame, round head and seems to have a well fit diet judging by the size of her tummy. In no way are her ribs visible even with her short coat. Her unusual long legs appear to be the only trait that stands out more then the rest. Although they are not extremely long but only by an inch or so make her taller. Her pelt is a deep jet-black hue and has a bit of a blue-ish shine to it whenever the sun beams down on her. Over time, her fur has been thinning. When she was a young cat her body was full of fluffy fur but because of age her fur is coarse and thin. Her claws are practically thorn sharp however again because of age they are now somewhat worn. On her back left claw she is missing two claws. As for what happen to them is a complete mystery. Last but not least the eyes. Pondfoot’s piecing eyes are like to white full moons and gleam bright whenever she is in a good mood or just happy in general.
Tattoo
There is an open door.
Somehow it feels so familiar.
We have been here before.
Somehow it feels so familiar.
We have been here before.
Upon her right thigh, lined North and South, are six tiny white dots. Pondfoot wasn't sure at first what the reason behind why StarClan had blessed her with such odd marking but as she got older she understood and wore it with pride. She came to realize that each dot represented her family members by blood: Springgrass, Barkfur, Lakefoot, Lakefur, Riverkit, and Dawndew.
History
Through this earth forgotten fight.
There must be a way.
There must be a way.
With out a river, how can a lake thrive?
Even so, with out a lake a pond can survive.
A queen of LeafClan layed restless upon her bed with in the nursery, panting heavily after giving birth to three kits wiggling with life at her plumpbelly. This was Springgrass first and possibly last birth she would ever make; it was such hard work! Gathering up some needed strength, she sat up to take a good look of what beauty she had made. She took quick notice that there were to males and one female, the male and the female both being black just like her and the other male was simply a spinning image of the father Barkfur. She smiled and cooed there names: "The black male shall be Riverkit. The silver male, Lakekit. Last but not least, Pondkit."
"Such wounderful names, Springgrass. They will be fine additions to LeafClan," The old medicine tom mewed then looked at the gray kit. "He looks just like Barkfur."
Springgrass nodded, "That he does." She leaned in and began bathing all three of them. When she laid her tongue upon Riverkit he felt cold and unmoving. A lump formed at her throat and she tried again to be sure."Riverkit? Riverkit?!” She squealed her kit’s name desperately calling him back. The medicine cat over heard her cries and frantically rushed over. Instantly he took notice to the lifeless male and examined him. He drew back, ears flattened against his skull and shook his head, “I’m sorry but there is no life in this one.”
“Then take him away from me, please.” And so it was done.
------
“Where going to be apprentices today Pondpaw! Us! Then soon enough, proud warriors of LeafClan!” Lakepaw leaped up on a branch and stuck his chest out with pride. As Pondpaw jumped on after him he looked back at her with a wide grin. “I wonder who will our mentors be? I hope Ragtail is mine. And I know that you’ve been eyeing that handsome tom Lightfrost lately,” Like a brother he was starting to mess with her.
Pondpaw shook her head, “Hey, its not like that! I look up to him like you look up to Ragtail.” Her brother snickered and jumped to the next branch. “Right, right, whatever you say.” He rolled his eyes and Pondpaw took after him. Just what he wanted.
Typical brother sister relationship.
-------
“Well done Pondpaw, and it’s your first hunting lesson!” Lightfrost grinned as Pondpaw trotted back with a plump juicy bird in her mouth that was practically making her drool. But she knew better and dropped it at her mentor’s paws. She didn’t even seem out of breath. Lightfrost looked over at Ragtail who seemed displeased with Lakepaw. “It is only his first try, give him a break Ragtail.”
Ragtail growled as Lakepaw let go a perfectly good mouse, “Again! This time lower your rear! It’s a dead give away.”
Pondpaw looked back at her brother who was desperately trying to please his mentor but shook her head has he failed again. “It’s getting late. Shouldn’t we head back to camp?”
“Pondpaw is right Ragtail.” Lightfrost meowed.
The orange tabby grunted then called back Lakepaw, “Alright that’s enough! We’ll try again tomorrow.”
Lakepaw walked back over slowly but kept in stride with his sister as the four headed back to camp. “Promise me this: We both become warriors at the same time when the time has come.”
Pondpaw smiled, “I promise Lakepaw.” Then gave him an affectionate lick on his cheek.
------
However the promise was broken. No matter how hard Lakepaw tried and no matter how much Ragtail yelled at him he always several steps behind his sister. She couldn’t help it though. Everything came easy to her and she didn’t like it that way. She wanted to work at it just like her brother. Then the day finally came: Pondpaw was to become warrior. Lightfrost was proud yet Pondpaw felt sick about all this. She had promised him but she also didn’t want to let her mentor down. And so, Pondpaw was blessed with her marking and was given the name Pondfoot.
Outraged Lakepaw took off after Pondfoot came back as a warrior. She regretted becoming a warrior but could she have stopped it? Never the less, she had went after him to get him back and to apologize for her actions.
“Lakepaw! Lakepaw!” She yelled for him but suddenly something unexpected happened. She had found Lakepaw badly beaten up and was lay on the ground rasping for some air. “Lakepaw!”
“Pondwhat’syournewnamenow…” he gazed at her still angered. Pondfoot shook her head and told him to be queit for now, Clearly is was a fox that crossed paths with him judging by the paw prints and blood but that didn’t matter to her now she need to take him to back. “I have to take you back now. Please Lakepaw, hold on for a little while longer.”
“Pondpaw? Are we both warriors now? The fox is gone, dead…” Lakepaw was at a daze, not knowing what was going on. Pondfoot came to realize he wasn’t going to make it and began to hesitate, “Yes, yes we’re warriors now! You have been given the name Lakefoot just like me: Pondfoot.” She couldn’t say anything more and collapsed next to her dying brother who was on his way to StarClan.
Lakefoot smiled as he look at Pondfoot one last time, “Warriors, me and you.” He breathed his final words to her and died.
