Clan Information

LEAFclan______________
H I S T O R Y .
LeafClan has always been known as the scrawniest and most weak-minded cats of the forest. They are, of course, lithe and agile from living highest in the trees ever since the Clan was established. The stronger Clans such as BranchClan and TrunkClan are Clans that LeafClan has feared for ages. They tend to lie low and always agree with what the two say for fear that they will attack poor little LeafClan. LeafClan cats in the past used to be organized slightly different that original Clans. The more able were the ones that climbed the trees down to land to get herbs and do other land-based things. This has changed back since they have adapted to where they live and what they do.

In the trees, the branches are close together and pleny of hollows and holes can be found in the trunks and branches. The branches are thick and there are plenty of leaves for coverage. They travel from branch-to-branch. They jump to lower branches until they are close enough to the ground.
On the ground, their territory has the most water and streams. Whereas the other Clans seem to have some type of special landmark, LeafClan just contains many rivers and running water. The territory has about five different sections. Their camp is centered on the largest of those sections. The sections are broken up by the connecting of the streams. It's easy to find the lake. You just follow the streams downhill until they all grow closer together.

LeafClan mainly preys on birds and other animals that stay high in the trees. The occasional squirrel is a surprise. Woodpecker is a common meal for LeafClan.

As they have always been, LeafClanners are known for being skittish, meek, and fearful. According to the other three clans, they are known for being quite the chatterboxes, too. That, however, is less fact and more annoyed murmurings. LeafClanners do all they can to avoid fights, even if they are constantly changing sides.
Physically, LeafClanners stand out from other cats. They are small, skinny, with very long tails. Their small and thin bodies are the only way they stay on the high, thin branches. Their long tails give them amazing balance and great skill when jumping. They are easily the fastest climbers, with strong and thick claws.
BRANCHclan______________
H I S T O R Y .
BranchClan is more of the inbetween Clan. Skillful and strong. BranchClan is spread out among the trees. Being up among the trees in trees connected so closely and such, this Clan has very close bonds together. They also, seeming to be middle ground, know just about any gossip there is. They mingle with the other Clans more than the other clans do, but still manage to keep the pretty close with each other. BranchClan is the type that is slightly hard to trust. You never know if it's just a show for they have been the start of many large battles between the Clans. They, have a slight distaste for LeafClan and how timid they are. They get along well with TrunkClan and associates with RootClan the most.

BranchClan, like LeafClan, wanders from branch-to-branch. However, their camp contains nest-like dens instead of hollows. Their branches are less close together. Kits and elders stay in their dens more than other Clans for travel involves slightly more leg power, good footing, and jumping. They use the same travel as LeafClan to the ground, but as they get closer they prefer to climb the trees down instead of jumping from the closest branch to the ground.
By far, BranchClan's ground territory is the blandest. This part of the forest is more thick with barely any space between the trees and undergrowth. Bushes and plants grow just about everywhere. It is a very healthy looking territory with one stream located near the camp and a long abandoned trail winding through the territory. It's a nice path to follow for relaxation.

BranchClan hunts birds in the trees. Not as much as LeafClan does, however, for BranchClan also gets dibs on the squirrels, chipmunks, and tiny high climbing raccoons.
T R A I T S .
BranchClanners are like a combination of TrunkClan and LeafClan in appearance, in other words, very similar to RootClan. They have very powerful back legs, necessary for jumping upward. Their tails are longer than the other two clans, but not quite so long as any LeafClanners. They're not so powerful as TrunkClanners, but stronger than LeafClanners. If anything, they're almost better climbers than LeafClan because they live where the branches aren't so close together.
Personality wise, BranchClan warriors are very prideful. They'll fight for the honor of their clan in a heartbeat. Same as that, they'll honor any alliances they've made until such agreements have been broken. They are notorious for having short tempers particularly when it comes to LeafClan.
TRUNKclan______________
H I S T O R Y .
TrunkClan was originally formed by two types of cats: the brutes and the dreamers. Half of the clan wasn't incredibly intelligent and spent their time proving their strength. The other half of the clan wasn't particularly strong and were often caught staring into the distance. When the two sides fully merged, modern TrunkClan was forged. They're still very strong, using their strength to their advantage, but TrunkClanners are also quite the daydreamers. Not at all more intelligent than the other clans, they do spend their time pondering things that really have no relevance.

TrunkClan's camp is the second largest for their dens range from fallen trees to hollow ones still standing. The trees aren't AS spread out as in RootClan, but they still have plenty of space. TrunkClan, like RootClan, is more groundbased. Their camp sits on a chunk of land stuck between two shallow streams, much like the cave in RootClan.
Unlike RootClan, their territory contains more rock and natural formations. They have large stretches of grass and ground. They have the greatest sunning spots in the forest. This territory also contains land that every Clan has eyes on. The cliff overhang that sits right over where one stream gathers into a pond. The top of this overhang gives a view of almost everything in the forest, except what is hidden by the redwood trees.
P R E Y .
TrunkClan feasts on a little bit of everything. Small raccoons, squirrels, chipmunks, the occasional bird, a few mice, rabbits, and any about any mammal small enough to eat.
T R A I T S .
TrunkClan cats are like LeafClanners: they stand out in a crowd. Very much so, they are polar opposites of LeafClan warriors. They're large, broad-shouldered, and strong. Their tails aren't nearly so long, and their claws aren't nearly so long or strong. They have less need of balance and climbing skills. Instead, TrunkClanners defend themselves with strength and power.
In personality, TrunkClan just wants to be left alone. They're opposites to RootClan. When there's a battle, TrunkClanners are less likely to be involved unless one of their own is injured. At which point the enemy'll have Snap to pay. They're verey rare to give extra help to others in need, seeing as their problem.
ROOTclan_____________
H I S T O R Y .
RootClan used to live higher up in the redwoods. Just like the LeafClanners high up in the tree tops and the TrunkClanners living in the redwood trunks, RootClan had made hollows and holes in the tree their homes. They soon discovered that the large and thick roots of the redwoods gave plenty of amazing shelter. RootClan is more spread out in their territory. Their camp is the largest and having a pretty large Clan, this Clan is less tied within their Clans. Their hearts are still strong and loyal. They are, by far, the most easy going. Like the roots of the redwoods, they are grounded - they stick with their Clan and opinions and always have. They have always gotten along well with all the other Clans, especially LeafClan.

RootClan has a thinner forest. The trees are wider spread out. They are way more ground-based than the others. They live in hollows and holes in and around the roots of the redwoods. There are two streams in RootClan territory. Their camp is the largest of the four Clans, but only because of how spread out the trees are. There are more burrows and such then there are plants. It's mainly just rolling hills and green grass with the occasional clumps of redwood.
Stuck inbetween two shallow streams sits a large stretch of land. Wonderful green grass and colorful flowers cover this land. Almost completely centered in this feild sits a large and cold cave. At night light shines in and lights up the water and inside of the cave. It's a great place to hang out at nighttime. An opening in the ceiling makes for wonderful stargazing.
P R E Y .
RootClan rarely ever gets birds or squirrels. They also like to stay away from even the smallest of raccoons. Instead they rely on their speed for rabbits. They also hunt mice and mammals around the same size more ground-based.
T R A I T S .
RootClanners act like no other clan in the entire forest. They stick to alliances like BranchClan, but don't leave others in a spot of trouble. In fact, the other clans often mutter that RootClanners are always sticking their noses where they don't belong. They're the clan that likes to be kind to all of the others. They do their best not to offend, and are eager to come to the aid of another.
In size and shape, RootClanners are very similar to BranchClanners. They're not so skinny as LeafClanners, nor so bulky as TrunkClanners. They're very fast like LeafClanners, though. However, not in the same way. LeafClanners are fast in the high branches, but RootClanners are fast on the ground. Unlike TrunkClan, RootClan doesn't survive with strength, but speed.
